"And it's just not a picnic without antiseptic wipes!"

So it's been a while since I updated. I've written a few entries from work, but they've all sounded dumb after I wrote them. I shouldn't write when I'm tired.

We finally broke down and bought Renaissance a toy box. It really rocks having one. Clean-up time goes very quickly at night now. Side note: the Sidekick is incredibly awesome. We read reviews on toy boxes while we were at the store and avoided buying the one that looks classier and is actually a deathtrap. W00t!

I know Renee and I have been saying we'd be getting Internet "real soon now" for almost five months, but I think it might actually happen soon. There's a good promotion going on now and it's only for February, so we might order it tomorrow or Monday (pending my conversation with Renee about it -- she's at work right now and I called the cable company for details after she left).

We'll also have to budget for a wireless router, maybe AirPort Express or an Airport card, and the SSH client for the Sidekick. All of which make me drool. I also want an iPod and the Belkin Universal Microphone Adapter to record classes in the summer. I wish I could win the lottery. Without playing.

As previously alluded to, barring any unforeseen circumstances, I'll be attending college in the summer. I haven't applied yet and the summer course catalog has not been made available and everyone there is ignoring my emails, but I'm going whether they want me to or not, goshdarnit! I need college!

But right now, I'll settle for watching Nickelodeon with Renaissance. It's going to be hard balancing family with work with class, but it needs to be done if I'm ever going to really be able to support my family. I already know Renee and I will be making heavy use of speakerphone when I'm in the car.

We passed Scotland on our recent vacation.

No, not that Scotland. The way less cool one.

...and I nearly killed a man!

So Renee, Renaissance, and I just got back from New York on Sunday. What a trip. We saw Renee's little nephew (technically cousin, but whatever), Renee's uncle, his girlfriend, Renee's grandparents, and my parents.

Also, we went to a girl who I graduated with's twin daughters' third birthday party. It was cool to see people who I graduated with there. We saw snow and our car is all salty now.

I got my yearbooks from my parents so now I can remember everyone I went to school with and I miss them. I wonder what they're all doing. It's weird, I still feel a bond with them. Like we're siblings or something.

And now, back to work. Bleh.

Today is...

...Unofficial "Sean Hits People with Doors" Day. I sincerely apologize to all those affected.

Also, please watch out. I'm coming for you next.

And in other news, how did Switchfoot go mainstream? They're still so Christian... unlike P.O.D. and MxPx. I get teary-eyed every time I hear Dare You to Move.

P.O.D. turned into, "Look! This dude crashed his car! In slow motion!" and MxPx turned into, "Hey, let's party with girls! (and God might be there too)."

But anyway, it's almost bedtime, so I'm gonna eat waffles (to wash down the chocolate cake and Oreos) and go to bed. Night.

I can't pick my favorite episode of 2 Stupid Dogs...

...but here's my favorite bathroom poetry:

Roses are reddish,
Boogers are greeny,
Corn is real corny,
Principal Schneider's a weeny.

Renaissance With Her Waterbaby

Just a quick plug for my Buzznet.

And Wil Wheaton has one too!

Greenland is icy and Iceland is greeny.

Bleh. I'm so bored.

There's a commercial for sour cream on TV. Mmm. I love that stuff.

Renee and I got all our W-2s, etc. so we're going to start doing our taxes tomorrow. It's kind of depressing how much (or how little) we made last year, but when you add in how much credit card debt we accumulated, it matches what we made in 2003. At least we're consistent?

And have a burning hatred of credit cards.

I sent an email to one of my old co-workers. I'm curious to see what things were like after I left. Also, I want to know if she's still stuck there. She still hasn't responded, though.

Renaissance amazes us. Renee posted a list of all of the recent things Renaissance is doing. She's so cute when she nods and shakes her head.

I took a picture of her today and she immediately ran around to see the Sidekick's screen and when she saw herself, she pointed at it and said, "Awww." She's spent about 75% of her awake time today looking at a People magazine. Now she's looking at a book with babies dressed up as different animals and she went, "Awww," and laid her head on the page while making a kissy sound.

Well, anyway. I have to go get some water boiling for dinner. Mmmacaroni. And cheese.
