Dumbstupid Apple Store...

All I want to do is give you my money!

When we got our iPod shuffle, I wanted to get it from the Apple Store to show my support, but Target was closer and had them in stock. I couldn't resist.

We just bought an iMac yesterday, and I wanted to show my support of the Apple Store, so I went there and was all set to buy one, and it turns out they can't sell certain specially configured computers. That is stupid.

They work with the stock configuration. If you want an additional stick of RAM, they can put that in. But if you want a different size hard drive or one stick of 1GB RAM, they can't sell you a computer. If anything results in leftover parts, they can't do it.

Shouldn't Apple stock the stores with different configurations? The whole point of being able to pick and choose what items you want is that you get what you want. If I wanted to order the computer online, I could've done that from home.

Oh well, though. At least we got to play with the computers in the store. And we saw a very thin camera which was pretty cool.

And whatever, I'm happy that I'm (we're) getting a new iMac. =)

Uggity-ugh. We're cave people. From the Ice Age.

I just saw an episode of Blue's Clues and at the end, it was dedicated to Mr. Rogers ("The neighborhood won't be the same without you."). It was sad.

Mason is learning to crawl. He can get up on his hands and knees really well. Last night, we were working with him to get him to go forward. He scootched once.

Yesterday, Renaissance told us that Mason is her best friend. Later, when we asked her who her best friend was, she told us, "My sister." So we asked her, "You mean your brother?" and she said, "Yes."

Boot Camp

Apple just released a public beta of something called Boot Camp (for now).

It allows Macs to run Windows XP and Vista, as well as MacOS X. It'll come with MacOS X 10.5 Leopard. Awesome.

(However, the more elegant solution would still allow you to run .exe files straight from the MacOS without emulating Windows or running Windows exclusively). I'm waiting for that day.

Origami Boulder Company

This site is awesome.

If I bought the haiku one, I'd have to ruin the artwork and read the haiku. The curiosity would kill me.

Our New Lawnmower Is Awesome

I'm so happy that I can finally mow a lawn again. I know that sounds crazy, and it is, but it has been so long since we've actually had a lawn (roughly four years).

I've spent a few hours outside today raking (so... many... leaves). I think there's at least two years worth of pine needles/leaves in our yard. I mowed the patches of grass, too.

Now, we need to pick up all the crap I raked up (and finish raking... that'll take forever) and plant grass seed. I know I'm a dork, but I have a lawn and that's cool.

Oh, and since our lawn is so tiny, we got a Craftsman Reel Mower. It's cheaper than a gas-powered mower and we don't have to pay for gas (cheap = good). The blades sharpen themselves, so all we have to do is keep it clean and oiled. It rolls so easy (once you get it going). I'd even venture to say it rolls like butter.

Anyway, Renee dyed her hair red and it looks pretty good. She tried to streak it, but it just looked like the sides were dyed and her bangs and the back of her head were still dark. So she dyed it all.

I... guess we're going to Target now? But not before I put on deodorant. Off I go.

Holy lack of use, Batman!

I just looked at my del.icio.us, and see that I haven't used it since June of last year.

Huh.

Maybe I should use it again. Digg is so convenient, though. It finds the content for you, and then you get a "bookmark" of it, just by clicking once.

And I can't believe that I haven't made a digg button at the top when I've been meaning to since the last time I reordered those buttons. Which was probably June.

I know I blogged about it, but I'm too lazy to look it up.
