"We need some help, but never fear-o..."

I just added the Photos and RSS buttons up there in my header. *points*

And it worked on only the second try. Mother would be proud.

Update: Except for it didn't really work. Grr. It's better now.

"It's a good thing."

Finally got some time to actually post. Now, back to Martha Stewart (who was parodied on Between the Lions today, as Molly Stewpot, and it was actually pretty funny... yelling at the crew, and then realizing the camera was rolling, etc.).

Anyway, she (the real Martha) has the most awesomest refrigerator I have ever seen! I explained it to Renee, and she wasn't impressed, but this fridge was brushed metal and went with the whole decor of her kitchen and it was just a big drawer! That's awesome! I don't want a big, ugly fridge... I want a drawer, too. Martha, you have inspired me.

Renee and I are on the last episode of Dead Like Me, and we're very sad about it. From the Message Board, it doesn't sound like Showtime will be making another season. And the way things are going, it seems as though they tried to tie up all loose ends by the end of the second season.

Seriously, if anyone reading this has not seen this amazing show, please rent (or buy) the DVD of Season 1, and do whatever you can to see the episodes from Season 2. Probably anyone who knows me would be shocked that I like this because of the "extensive vocabulary" of the characters, but dude... this show is so... refreshing. It really does have a good moral (enjoy life because you're only alive for a little while, and then you get hit with a toilet seat). And, while I wouldn't repeat what they say, the foul language really does help the show move along -- they're dead, they don't care if people think they're vulgar.

But read the reviews from other people at Amazon. They're more eloquent than me.

Well, since I just woke up, I'm going to eat my other griddlecake thing. It's my new culinary obsession.

Is it bad...

...that I find Martha Stewart genuinely entertaining?

Wow, I'm behind...

I just upgraded my copy of NetNewsWire Lite to the beta version and it's so much cooler. It adds Atom support, so I can subscribe to my own blog and read it via my atom feed, because I am my biggest fan.

I should try to come up with more interesting stuff to write about. Maybe later.

*sniffle*

I'm so sick of being sick. I can't believe my little daughter has been such a trooper, because I am incredibly whiny.

I've been getting reacquainted with the Internet these past two days. RSS is awesome, and I want to add a few things to my blog, but it probably won't happen for a while (or ever).

Our new phones have been ordered, I assume. I faxed the order sheet back to the dude, but I emailed him and have still not received a response. Would it kill you to hit Reply and actually answer a question for once?

But anyway, I'm excited. It'll be my first phone with a color screen and Get It Now capability (which I hate, but it's semi-modern). It's a flip phone that you don't have to open to see who's calling (awesome!). Plus, it's a Motorola, which I've wanted ever since I saw Nick's StarTac years and years ago. Oh, and two phones for free doesn't hurt, either. Gotta love corporate discounts.

I think Renee and I are consistently at least five years behind in technology. Except for our DV camcorder and 5.1 megapixel camera. Our newest computer is four years old (with a broken monitor). I want wireless Internet pretty badly, but what we've got isn't horrible. I'd be about sick of it if my PowerBook screen worked, but since it doesn't, it just sits on top of the entertainment center anyway.

Well, I'm rambling now. I went to bed at 6 a.m. this morning and woke up at 9 a.m. Yuck. I eventually fell back asleep, but I'm starving right now. I'm gonna go eat.

Just saw...

...The Notebook. It was better than I expected. I was picking on the beginning, but shortly thereafter, it got really good.

Two complaints: the music in the rain scene when they're in the boat is way overdone, and the movie is rated PG-13 for "Some Sexuality." There is blatant nudity, people. I hate the rating system.

But other than that, Renee and I bawled our eyes out. It's not really a "chick flick." I recommend it to everyone.

Renaissance has been sick for the last few days. I think she's almost over it now. It's so sad to hear her pathetic coughy voice. The poor kid couldn't even cry, but she's getting back into the swing of things. However, now my throat feels funny and my nose won't stop running.

Well, now it's time for Renee and I to dream about getting a house.

Monetary Update

Turns out the phone I wanted will be free through my work. Awesome.

But I want two, so it probably won't be exactly $0.

And apparently the credit from T-Mobile hasn't been applied yet. What's that crap?

Now back to work. *whine*

T-Mobile Sucks...

...but not really!

Service was down for our Sidekick II for about five or six days (sometimes even including phone service), and it was a problem (or problems) with both Danger and T-Mobile. I was getting ready to call customer care and demand a credit for the lost time, but guess what! They offered one!

Yeeeah, I only wanted my money for the time it was down, but they're crediting us $20. Works for me.

On another note, this is pretty cool.

Which Napoleon Dynamite character are you?

RIP LG VX3100

Last week, Renaissance broke my phone. This brings her tally to three.

Three phones broken in sixteen months. I needed a phone with speakerphone anyway, but my goodness. Luckily, Renee and I only spent $20 on our two phones over a year ago. She broke Renee's phone a while ago, so we started using my old phone for Renee -- which Renaissance quickly proceeded to drop and now the screen doesn't work. It can still make and receive calls, though.

Then, she drooled all over the contacts for the battery on my phone and it can't charge anymore. It died slowly.

So, I'm looking at the Motorola V265 for Verizon. I'd really like the Motorola A630 for T-Mobile, but our contract doesn't expire with Verizon until this December and we like Verizon's coverage (and hate their phones).

Also, I don't want to spend money. I want to be saving for college. Grr.

Unfortunately...

...this weekend was my three-day weekend. So I have no time to use the new-fangled Internet. Grr.

But tomorrow (read: later today)! The Internet is all mine! Bwa ha ha!

Finally! Sweet!

We got Internet! And it's real!

Yeah!
